The History of Sonic the Hedgehog (subtitled [Sonic the Hedgehog] in 9 minutes) is the 16th episode of A Brief History on The Game Theorists, featuring Jimmy Whetzel.

Description Edit

Gotta go Fast! A 20 minute A "Brief" History? Obviously not fast enough Ryder. But you know who is fast? The Blue Blur himself - Sonic. Easily one of the most iconic video game characters ever, rivaling that of Mario himself since his initial debut in 1991, and since then Sonic has had a very long run. To this day the Sonic Franchise continues to put out game after game - for better or worse. In today's episode, Ryder discusses the impact Sonic has had on the platform genre and how this lovable hedgehog has evolved over the years.

Trivia Edit

  • To date, this is the longest episode of A Brief History.
  • In the thumbnail, the Sonic logo is missing.
