Game information

Pokémon, originating from the Game Boy, takes place in a fictional world where kids can collect creatures called "Pokémon" (standing for "Pocket Monsters") within Pokéballs and use them to battle other kids' Pokémon, either for money or a Pokémon from their opponents' collection. There are several types of Pokémon: Normal, Fire, Fighting, Water, Flying, Grass, Poison, Electric, Ground, Psychic, Rock, Ice, Bug, Dragon, Ghost, Dark, Steel, Fairy, and ???. Pokémon battles work by selecting a Pokémon from your collection and ordering it to use various abilities, attacks, and defenses to make the opponent Pokémon faint. Pokémon can also be leveled up. There have been seven generations of Pokémon games, as well as a trading card game, an anime, anime movies, and a mobile game, Pokémon GO.
