Game information
Minecraft is a 2011 game developed by Notch and his company Mojang (later bought by Microsoft). It sets the player in a pixelated, 3-D blocky world with no objective other than the imagination. There are two primary modes; survival, in which the player must survive and variables such as hunger, health, and underwater breath holding are added, and materials must be collected and items crafted. Creative Mode gives the player complete unlimited access to all tools and materials and near-invincibility, allowing players to construct anything they want. Other modes include Hardcore, Adventure, and Spectator. Gameplay allows for first, second, and third-person views, and it can be single-player, with friends, or online. A spin-off series was released in 2015, titled Minecraft: Story Mode.
