Game information Edit

Mass Effect is a science fiction action role-playing third person shooter game series published by Microsoft Game Studios in 2007 and Electronic Arts from 2008 onward. The games revolve around Commander Shepard, a soldier who is tasked with saving the galaxy from powerful mechanical aliens called Reapers and their agents, like the first antagonist Saren Arterius. In the first game, Shepard investigates Saren, and he realizes is being guided by Sovereign, a Reaper left behind in the Milky Way tens of thousands of years before, when the exterminated all life in the galaxy. The second game, taking place two years later, Shepard battles the Collectors, an alien race abducting entire human colonies in a plan to help the Reapers return to the Milky Way. The third game centers on the war against the Reapers. The next game will take place in the Andromeda Galaxy with a new cast of characters. The games have all been well-received for various reasons, one of them being how player choice can affect the experience.
