From Paperbacks to Pewdiepie: The History of Let's Plays (subtitled History of Let's Plays) is the 14th episode of Digressing & Sidequesting on The Game Theorists.

Description Edit

The origin of the Let's Play really depends on your definition of a Let's Play. These community driven video game playthroughs have been going on for years, even before YouTube ever came out. In fact, once YouTube came to the scene it was actually considered laughable to put your Let's Plays on the platform. And the shift to YouTube caused a lot of fighting between different camps of Let's Players.
